Angelo Salgado Dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, Angelo has more than 12 years of experience and he has developed a method of teaching brazilian dance in Australia where he created Groove Brazil - Authentic Latin Dance, which has already become one of the top Latin Dance Academies in Brisbane. His academy was chosen to be the only dance school to teach and perform Samba and Lambada at the Sydney Salsa Congress 2006/07, the biggest Latin Dance event in Australia.
Angelo has participated teaching samba at the children’s TV program Toasted TV and choreographed the multicultural video “Song Australia” for SBS television. . Internationally he has performed and taught at the 2nd International Lambazouk Congress in Spain (2006) and he was invited from the International Dance Council to participate at the 20th World Congress on Dance Research, Greece (2006). In Brazil, he has performed with the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra in a concert held at Masp Museum dancing waltz and bolero (1998). Awarded 1st place in competitions he has participated on TV programs, TV commercials and shows with brazilian celebrities.
Ebony Berrell has spent the past two years performing and teaching Latin dance in Melbourne. She was part of a weekly Carnival show at one of Melbourne’s Brazilian Theatre Restaurants.
Before moving to Melbourne, Ebony was a local in the Brisbane Latin Scene. Starting her Latin dance education back in 2001 when she was just 14 years old, Ebony spent every spare moment dancing and learning every different style of dance she could in many different schools. Ebony began to perform at various events and she furthered her performing experience, participating in performances at events such as the Energex Multicultural Festival.
After few years performing in Brisbane, Ebony decide to move to Melbourne for her job in the Rios show. In addition to dancing in the Rios show, she was also involved in many other different performances at private functions and events such as the Melbourne Brahma Launch, the Hummel Fashion Launch and the annual Viva Brazil Festival at Federation Square.
